I can hear the baby screaming, it isn't mine, it is the baby from down stairs. My baby is a hairy little critter known to most as a spider and by others with extended knowledge as a tarantula.
As the little pair of lungs, downstairs, wail on and on I can see his face in my mind, horrible, fat and blue. No tears to serve as a physical reminder, no tears to snail trail on his cheeks reminding his mother of his screams.
It is maddening to hear the child cry like that. I wish he would stop. I wish I could go downstairs and magically make him stop, let his little lungs rest awhile. Let me fall asleep.
I wonder if babies with colic are born hating the world they have been so unceremoniously dragged into? I've been told I screamed and screamed, like the miniature human that lives downstairs. I have been told that I had colic too. Are Colic babies more attuned to negativity than others? What is it that makes them so miserable from birth, apart from the obvious wind that seems to be trapped? Some have ventured the notion that babies that are not breastfed are more likely to have colic, is it a longing for that natural act? is it primitive?
This is maddening, the little man's room must be directly underneath mine, his wailing ceasing only here and there, replaced by an even more maddening silence, which makes my ears prickle, alert for the first signs of another bout of screams. Screams that pierce the floor boards and violate my ears. Screams that kept me awake last night, that I had to drown out with heavy bass lines pumping into my ears.
Sometimes I cannot express myself to others, then I write. I write and write for ages, other times I just talk and talk, or I keep quiet. Here are some of the things I feel like writing about.

Memories of the Future..
I wonder what it is about people that makes us who we are.
I wonder why we can't all think the same way and get on with life, why can we not just move on from the things that hurt us? Let them go and carry on with life? Is it so hard to just forget something and move away from it? Why do they stick with us for so long and keep us alert with a sharp stab to the memory center of the brain?
Some people are able to seemingly forget things that happened the day before, things that might have sent them into a fiery rage, things that made their blood boil. Why is that? Why are we all wired so differently?
I wish I could let go of things and brush them under the rug. I wonder why there are painful reminders of bust ups and mess ups waiting around every corner at times. Why do certain memories produce a physical reaction, memories that make you cringe at the thought of them or memories that make you shudder or gasp or even weep at the reminder. Of course there are memories that do the same but are positive instead of negative, but the question remains the same, why? how? What purpose does this serve?
Do animals have this same reaction, response or feelings towards their memories, how much can they recall?
These questions plague me daily, I find myself looking at strangers on the bus, watching them, wondering if a flinch or a sigh is the result of recalling an embarrassing moment or something that they have experienced that is profoundly sad. Are there ways of making these things slide out of your mind with out a psychological effect? Like the folk in Harry Potter that remove thoughts and memories, storing them in little flacons stoppered with a little hunk of cork, for use when they want or to share it with someone. I wonder if that will be possible in the future. We all know that from research that suppressing memories is bad for you, causing many issues with ones personality, what if there was a way to do so without damaging the makeup of your brain and personality, what if people could take away the memories and store them away, or even throw them away.
The possibilities are endless, you could recall what you saw and share it with other people, crime solving would be so much easier, I think there would be a lot more people walking around with smiles on their faces. then again there are also issues with this notion, when will that power become abused? Could this be used against people by corrupt centers that are present in society?
So many questions and no real answers.

Passion.
I have a job, how brilliant is that? I think I will like this job, I get to work with cameras and other people that like or are interested in cameras. Not selling clothing anymore or doing stuff with hair, I will be actually working with something that I actually like and love. So it will work a lot better. I feel a lot more positive about this than I have about other jobs before.
I think that it will be an environment that I can be comfortable in and know something about it. When it comes to sales, a good sales person should be able to sell anything, I can sell anything, but to sell something and be good at it you need a passion for what you are selling. To me there is nothing worse than walking into a shop and being approached by a sales assistant that has no passion for the stuff they are being paid to sell me, It is amazing to see someone who has this undiluted passion for selling what ever it may be that they want you to buy. It is great to see someone so passionate about the product or the prospect of selling something that you want to buy it just because of the person.
As much as I dislike capitalism, if you are going to take part in it then you gotta have a flame, a zesty attitude to selling. Some kind of confidence, passion, and character to your pitch. Product knowledge is not enough a lot of the time. You can know the ins and outs of a product, but you need to have a passion for it and want other people to see what you see in the product, see why it is great or crap or why it would work for them and suit their needs, you need to be objective at times. When it comes to cameras you have different kinds of people, you get the hardcore nikon people and the canon people or the ones that love pentax. These people have different needs and you need to realize that. They will come in looking for something in particular, I being a nikon person I would rather that everyone has a nikon, but putting that aside I do understand the people who prefer canons and to sell cameras I need to be objective and not just subjective and bias against canons.
I suppose I am just passionate about this.

Dubbing
I have been meaning to make a massive post comparing The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo(2011) and Män som hatar kvinnor(2009) (the Swedish version) but I don't have a version of the Swedish one that isn't dubbed, which brings me to another post.
DUBBED FILMS
To dub a film is to provide a soundtrack of the dialogue in a different language, e.g. if you have a film that is filmed in English and it is to be played in Japan, someone who speaks Japanese will provide a voice-over for a character in Japanese instead of the English, each character is provided with someone else's voice. This is done instead of having subtitles which may also be present.
With dubbing there comes a lot of issues such as;
- Lip synchronisation - this is ALWAYS out when it comes to dubbing, it honestly is one of the most horrendous things. (maybe I am just a perfectionist) it is like watching a Chinese Kung-fu film and watching them speak and the sentence carrying on when the guys mouth is shut or the voice-over is delayed. I think watching films for the sheer fact that they have terrible dubbing is probably going to become a hobby, or a society, imagine it 'The International Society for Watching Badly Dubbed Films.' Watch this space it will happen if it hasn't already, in fact it might even become fashionable in years to come.
- Voices that do not suit the character. Oh we have all seen those foreign films where you have a scrawny little bloke that is a kungfu master and the minute he opens his mouth he has some awful scary gruff voice with a grumble that can make the earth shake. It really sets the tone for a rather scarily funny film watching experience, you never see it coming, and if you watch the undubbed version he has a squeaky voice, which I think would work better, as it adds a juxtaposition to the whole thing some scrawny little fighting machine with a squeaky voice. Way better than the whole gruff, rumbly voice.
- The fact that deaf people CANNOT read their lips, maybe they prefer it. The words just don't look right when they are dubbed, peoples lips and facial expressions are all out when something is dubbed over, and it sounds super artificial, kind of like when you watch a film with voice-over narration it sounds all right in those circumstances but it is just impossible to watch a serious film when the dudes facial expressions don't match what he is saying because it is in another language.
- Finally it is too damn comical to watch it and take the film seriously. It is just friggin' funny. I just can't watch it I just cannot without laughing my arse off at times and it is even worse when the scene is VERY serious and it is not something to laugh at, and not to mention the accents, certain people just should not have an American accent and that is anyone who is not American!
I think it is just plain amusing to watch. I can't take it seriously. I think though it is amusing and it has its purposes, but it is a rather strange thing, I suppose people who don't really pay all that attention to or study film won't really mind. I think I just notice it a bit more. It does have advantages, it helps if you would just like to watch a foreign film and not keep glancing down to read the subtitles and having to hit rewind if you miss something that is seemingly important so it has its merits.
I rather enjoy giggling at these things and taking note of it.
Waistcoats and jobs.
My waistcoat arrived!! it is utterly gorgeous and this means I am on my path to owning a suit! :D all I need now is a decent shirt, and a suit jacket, and my tie.
Saturday will be muchos eventful. I am attending a film workshop from 2pm and I have been invited to go for an interview as well, a job interview, I need to figure out what to wear though, I feel utterly at a loss as to how I should dress! I will figure it out I am sure! Super excited though!
